It's hard to believe 15 yrs has already gone by since the day Russ and I said "I do" yet in other ways, it is hard to remember life apart. To celebrate our anniversary, we escaped to Monterey for a 3 night getaway at Spendrift Inn on Cannery Row. It was a perfect and relaxing weekend together.
Full of love then and even deeper in love now.

| The Pier at Monterey - Absolutely beautiful weather the whole time we were there. High 70's and clear & sunny. | |
| LOVED this bed. It was a feather bed with down pillows and comforter. Felt like sleeping on a cloud. |
| Our balcony view of Cannery Row. |
| The sitting area. We got used to being served breakfast to our room every morning and wine & cheese each evening. |
| View from Fish Hopper restaurant on Cannery Row. Our hotel is the large building. |
| Enjoying some fish n chips together. |
| Taken in overpass on Cannery Row. |
| Along the bike/walking path behind Cannery Row are these great murals. |
We went to the Aquarium our 2nd day there. We were bummed the penguin exhibit was closed for renovation. It was shocking how fast we moved thru the exhibits without little people in tow but I think we both felt like that is what makes it even more fun...seeing these creations thru the eyes of a child.
| The sea horses are fascinating. Here is one of the most interesting varieties...the Sea Dragon. Its face is on the right. |
| The sting ray made me laugh climbing up the glass. It appears to be smiling. |
| I wanted to get a good shot of one of the sharks but it was hard in the dark area of the aquarium with no flash allowed. |
| The jelly fish are amazing and beautiful to watch. |
| Sea turtle |
| I didn't realize sand dollars lay on their edges in calm water like seen above. |
| Picture of Russ under the tunnel where the tide water splashes over like a waterfall. |
| One of our nights out on the town. |
The roof of our hotel Spindrift Inn.
| On the roof of our hotel overlooking ocean. Our last day there was the first morning where it was overcast and cool. |
| Saying goodbye to Monterey and Pacific Grove. |
