Easter - He is Risen!

PALM SUNDAY

The little kids sing every year on Palm Sunday waving palm branches. Always so cute!
Kendall is in the middle with the purple knit hat. She picked her own outfit out. Always interesting but somehow it usually works on her.

I don't think she actually sang but she had fun being up on stage.

EASTER MORNING SCAVENGER HUNT

Rebecca asked if she could create a scavenger hunt for Ethan and Kendall on Easter morning. She came up with 5 clues that directed them from one spot in the house to the next until they found the last one which contained a small bag of little goodies she had collected for each of them. She loves giving gifts to them.

Rebecca reading the first clue.

Found their little gift bags Rebecca made up for them.

Easter at Church

Our church did an Easter Path for the children 4th grade and under which walks them through the events of Jesus' death and resurrection.

Didn't manage to get a family photo this year but oh well!

Egg Hunt at Home

Kendall was sick with a fever the day our church held the Eggstravaganza so we did an egg hunt in our backyard after we got home from church. Instead of candy in the eggs we put coins in them. Each child had 12 eggs hidden for them of a specific color. Rebecca was yellow and orange, Ethan was blue and Kendall was of course...pink.
This one took Ethan awhile to find. He kept walking by it.

Pretty in Pink. I didn't even ask Rebecca to wear a dress which she isn't very fond of wearing. She looked beautiful and it was such a pleasant surprise.

Rebecca was getting frustrated trying to find her last egg. I told her to stand on the porch and look around to see if she saw it anywhere. After a couple of seconds, she took off running to it in the corner of the yard in the tree.

Kendall counting her eggs to make sure she collected all 12 that were hidden.

The nice photo for mom

And then of course the goofy photo is a must. Ethan was trying to put his basket on his head.
My mom and dad came over for the afternoon. We snacked on chips & dip, vegetables and ranch dip and deviled eggs. For dinner...lamb loin chops, broccoli, green beans, and rolls and apple pie ala mode for dessert.
