First Beach Trip of the Summer

We love Cayucos! Finally we were able to schedule a Saturday to take a day trip there. We were also able to connect up with Russ' old time buddy and best man in our wedding, Ian and his family. They are partial owners of a beach house that has private access right down to the beach. AWESOME!!! We spent the day with Ian, Missy, Liam (8) and Imogen (4). We had a wonderful day together.

It was overcast the whole time but not cold. No complaints here...we left 106 degree weather this day in Fresno.

Rebecca was so happy to have someone to boogie board with...Missy and her stayed in for about 45 minutes and Rebecca learned how to to go out further to catch better waves. I'm getting a wet suit next summer so I can enjoy the water with her.

Ethan loves digging in the sand. There were so many shells this time at the beach...more then we've ever seen here. Rebecca had a blast collecting whole sand dollars and empty crab shells.

The kids loved coming up to the deck after being down on the beach all day where they could hose off all the sand and jump in the hot tub.
