Let Summer Begin!

 

Summer is here and that always makes me want to head to the beach! We hope this is one of many trips this summer. We were able to connect again with friends who have a house right on Cayucos beach and the weather was absolutely beautiful...clear blue sky and perfect temperature.

Shopping for new sand toys for the summer and trip to the beach the next day.

Amanda and Daddy

Ethan loves jumping in the water and running from the waves.

Amanda loved playing in the muddy sand...squishing it in her fingers and throwing it. The fog
rolled in for about 45 minutes and was gone just as fast as it came in.

Horses walked right by us. Amanda kept saying "Hi" and waving to them.

Kendall trying to get warm after playing in the water. She was fine until she saw a bug and then a tiny crab
come out of the sand when she was digging and it totally freaked her out. She asked me if there were any beaches
without seaweed, crabs or bugs. Silly girl!

Playing in a big pool of water left over from the tide the night before. It was warm from the sun and was a perfect shallow playing area for Amanda.

Ethan joined in on the fun of mud pies.

After warming up in the hot tub and getting dry clothes on, the kids played games together while
the adults visited. Such a treat to share time with friends at our favorite summer destination.
