This weekend we celebrated Russ' birthday. We spent Saturday night over at his parents eating a delicious dinner of barbecue pork chops, roasted red potatoes, peas and his mom's salad with her perfect oil & vinegar dressing...can never get enough of that! Violet went into labor with Russ while making pork chops so it was only fitting to have those for dinner. Rebecca said they were as good as her all-time favorite meal of ribs.

Today, is Russ' actual birthday. Ethan came to my side of the bed this morning and whispered, "Mommy, since it's Daddy's birthday today, can we bring him breakfast in bed?" So all three kids pitched together and Kendall very carefully carried in a bowl of cereal for Russ. She asks what he would like to drink and when Russ says he'll just drink the milk out of the bowl she yells out "He doesn't want 'anyding' to dwink." Cuties!
After coming home from church, we settled in to watch the Broncos and Steelers game (awesome game!) and Russ helped Ethan build this cool castle out of Legos. Ethan asked Russ to take a picture of it so he could take it to school tomorrow and show his teacher.

| The inside of the castle. I don't know who had more fun building this, Ethan or Russ...I think it was pretty equal. |
